Auli

Written by Ambrish Posted in:

So we decided to start a trek through Auli which is a considered a tourist destination for winter sport and you can take a rope way to the place also.We procided to Talii and decided to camp just before the normal camping site where we would climb the mountain and will be able to see the sunset if the weather is clear.

the trek start at this temple we had on fear that the next camping site may be crowded as in the above pic the two trekkers ahead of us were also moving toward our destination but it turned out that they will camp just a little ahead of this temple.
The point for taking the picture was the dense forest that you see behind it might be gone in few yrs time maybe next time you visit you might not find it.

the tree where the two girls are resting

has a number engraved on it

you can see in clearly in the next pic.

the number is indication that it is the no:1093 tree which is going to be cut to make a

space for the winter sport in this area.

Anyway

Trail takes you through pristine rhododendron, deodar forests, lush green fields and virgin forests. Providing an enchanting view of the imposing peaks of Nanda Devi , Kamet ,Chaukhamba, Dronagiri and Hathi-Ghodi Parvat.

New Delhi railway station

Written by Ambrish Posted in:

Being a half day behind our schedule. We reached Delhi.
The half lit sign board at the New Delhi railway station.
It is the true identity of the city well depicted by the board,
a place there is more chances of getting cheated
or getting misguided by people.
So I have always preferred a speedy exit from the city
And we were on our way to Reshikesh (a town of ashrams and temples)
To our way to joshimath (The ancient name was Jyotirmath)
